The BEST and cutest new bakery! Everything they make is truly incredible! Her desserts taste amazing and are SO beautiful/esthetically pleasing. She makes everything by hand with local ingredients. The flowers are SUGAR! Absolutely stunning. They offer wedding and event cakes and desserts. They do tastings here in the store by appointment. Tasting gives you the chance to design your menu and style with Kellie. Palette Cakes offers delivery or pickup options for your wedding and events orders on the big day. They also have grab-and-go options for small cakes, desserts, and other treats. A great place to stop in for a celebration, birthday treat, pick-me-up, or if you're just hankering for something sweet.
Carlos and Kellie were incredibly welcoming when we stopped by Pallete Cakes on Saturday — genuinely kind people who made us feel right at home. We tried a solid lineup: the cheesecake, lemon meringue tart, crazy cornflake cookie, and the peanut butter cookie. Let me say this clearly — these cookies are next level. The peanut butter cookie nails the texture: chewy center, crisp edges, and a rich, nutty flavor that elevates the classic. But the standout? The crazy cornflake cookie. It’s a brilliant combo of marshmallows, chocolate, and crunchy cornflakes — sweet, salty, chewy, crispy — all in one bite. Absolute must-try. Now onto the cheesecake: perfectly smooth, just the right density, and that graham cracker crust? Spot on. Honestly, it beats out Junior’s in NYC all day. And the lemon meringue tart hit the mark too — bright citrus balanced with sweet meringue and a buttery crust that holds everything together. If you haven’t been yet, go. And if you’ve been before, go again!
We cannot say enough about how delicious and gorgeous our wedding cake was! Kellie was already booked for our wedding weekend because of our own fault in waiting too long after our tasting to confirm with her. She went above and beyond and offered to still make our cake and our wedding coordinator transported it for us! Kellie was so easy to work with, friendly, kind, communicative, and oh my word what an artist! I gave her free rein to use her talents and design our cake. I just told her the vibe of our wedding and examples of what my bouquet might look like. Our cake was truly a work of art and everyone raved about how delicious it was! Our top layer was gluten free and let me tell you, a week later when we returned from our honeymoon, still so fresh we devoured it! Will have to have her make us a mini for our anniversary because there’s nothing left! Thank you Kellie!
Palette Cakes did our dessert table at our wedding, and our experience was EXCELLENT from start to finish. My husband and I used Palette Cakes for our wedding cake/desserts. Kellie is the absolute sweetest and made my dream wedding cake come to life. The sugar flowers were crafted amazingly, they looked so real. We continue to get compliments on how great the desserts were! She set everything up perfectly during cocktail hour and we were even lucky to see her the day of our wedding. We plan on continuing to support her bakery and will always make the further drive to make sure we use her for all future events. Chase & I can't thank you enough Kellie!

Palette Cakes is a gem in Carmichael! They are so kind and make delicious treats. I love to pop by on the weekends for desserts from their shop and I’ve ordered a custom cake from them — my gender reveal cake… I trusted Kellie with this and she made the perfect cake for us to find out we were having a baby boy!! 🫶🏻
We love all Kellie's sweets and her creativity! Our wedding cake looks so amazing and she delivered our vision beautifully. I've never met a Cake Artist/Owner who sketches your cake and makes it exactly how we envisioned it to be! The cheesecake was delicious! But my favorite is the chocolate hazelnut tart! It is to die for. Will order more from Kellie for every occasion we celebrate! She is overall an amazing person, and we highly recommend Palette Cakes
After having lunch at Lido Cafe, I noticed the Palette Cakes shopfront. It was a couple of shopfronts over in the same nondescript shopping plaza as Lido. I beelined it over there to check them out. Why? Because I do luv a good bakery. As I walked into the shop, there was a gentleman at the counter. He turned out to be the owner, Carlos. Him and his wife own the shop which they opened about a year ago. She's the baker. Their speciality is custom order cakes. Gorgeous, sophistically designed cakes. But they are not a one trick pony. No sirree. They also sold cupcakes, trifles, cream puffs, and tarts. They were all sitting pretty looking divinely delicious in a refrigerated counter. I bought two cupcakes. One was a honey roasted peanut butter on chocolate cupcake and the other I forgot the name of. But it was a chocolate cupcake of some sort with a vanilla type of cream frosting. Those were $4.50 a piece. Carlos told me the cupcakes are cold but best eaten about 40 minutes to a hour at room temp. Sorry to say I had no will power to wait that long. They both got devoured shortly after I got back to my car. Even without the wait, it was delicious. Moist, flavorful cake. The frosting was delicious and piped on perfectly. Sure the frosting was a bit stiff when I ate it because I had no patience to let it settle to room temp, but it didn't take away from the taste. Homemade perfection.
I hired Palette Cakes for my wedding back and April and I could not be more impressed with their service and how absolutely stunning the cake was. As soon as I walked in to the shop to grab my cake tasting box, Kellie and Carlos greeted me and were so kind and easy to talk to. And can we talk about how delicious every single cake was?! The communication between Kellie and I was so smooth. She is the sweetest person ever. She drew up some mock pictures of my wedding cake but it was so much better in person than I could imagine. I highly recommend Kellie and Carlos for any dessert and any event!! You will not be disappointed!!
